Ari Lennox
Courtney Shanade Salter (born March 26 1991) is better known under her real name Ari Lennox is an American artist and singer hailing born in Washington, D.C. She is the first female artist to be affiliated with J. Cole's label Dreamville Records. The label released her first EP titled Pho in October of 2016 when she began to get recognition. Shea Butter Baby released her first studio album on 7 May 2019. Ari Lennox started uploading music online in the year 2012, when she released her debut mixtape Five Finger Discount, and her debut EP Ariography in 2013. In 2014, Ari Lennox dropped her own single Bound along with her mixtape, which she released herself, Five Finger Discount. On July 21st, 2015, Omen included her in Elephant Eyes the track Sweat It Out. J. Cole had her sing her songs for the Dreamville Team later that year, as he wanted Rihanna to be able work together on a few references. On December 28, 2008 the news was made public that Rihanna was hired with Dreamville Records. She was featured on the collaborative album Revenge of the Dreamers II featuring the track Backseat Cozz. In October of 2016 she dropped her debut EP Pho. Ari Lennox appeared in J. Cole's Change track, and performed on the 4 Your Eyez Only Tour 2017. In 2018 she went on to be a guest on two of her songs along with label-mates EarthGang and EarthGang on Nothing but the Best and Bas on Icarus. Ari Lennox debuted her first single from Shea Butter Baby, Whipped Cream on the 16th of July in 2018. A music video was followed by a music video in September. Then, on the 9th of November 2018 the singer released two more singles called 40 Shades of Choke (and Grampa). On November 13 she then came out with two additional singles, No One and Pedigree. Shea Butter Baby. Shea Butter Baby then made appearances in the Creed II album soundtrack alongside Cole. The singer released the track as a single in order to announce her debut album Creed II on 26 February 2019. The song was followed by a music video in February 20th, 2019, and it surpassed the milestone of 3 million views via YouTube within one week. She was the supporting act for 6LACK on their From East Atlanta With Love Tour during December 2018.
